Master’s degree All courses that will be followed by students in the Universities of the HENSE
SCHOOL Network in different Countries, are arranged on a targeted blended e-learning system coordinated by HENSE SCHOOL Partners, according to the HENSE SCHOOL Programme.
The training activities plan for the Bachelor’s degree and the Master’s degree, indicating the related ECTS, is shown on Annex n.1 and Annex n. 2 respectively. The annexes will be periodically updated on a proposal by the HENSE SCHOOL Quality and Compliance Committee.
Didactics is structured in semesters with classes, lab activities, specialist seminars and ongoing tests. Attendance is recommended for the scheduled classes, in order to follow the course effectively; it is mandatory for the lab hours.
The training is enriched by a set of targeted complementary activities (conferences, seminars, workshops, study abroad programmes...) to encourage and facilitate a higher level of interaction between students, professors, scholars and external operators.
In the event of exchange of undergraduate students, the home institution shall recognize and give credits for the academic results obtained by its students at the host institution in accordance with the programme of studies initially developed and agreed upon by both institutions.
On the base of reciprocity, students who participate in the exchange programme shall not be required to pay tuition and fees to the host institution. Undergraduate students shall be required to abide by the rules and regulations of the host institutions.
The training of the students of HENSE school Network Universities will be completed by targeted seminars organized by the TerrSafeiLab (The managerial training laboratory, The knowledge management laboratory, The territorial marketing laboratory), which are “operational platforms where researchers, innovators and entrepreneurs will meet in the context of innovative project building, national and international in nature, and on the basis of cooperation between enterprises, local bodies, research centres, institutions, with the goal of creating networks and of encouraging the sustainable economic development of the territory”
Doctorate The Board of Professors, whose composition is shown on Annex n. 3 and will be
periodically updated, is responsible for the organization, the scientific and didactic outline of the program and arranges the activity schedule and the annual and final exam procedures to test the achieved expertise.
The Board of Professors approves the research projects the doctorate candidate proposes for his/her program, with reference to possible covenants and agreements; appoints, having heard the candidate, the tutor who will follow him during the whole program.
The didactic and tutoring appointments given by the Universities Partner of the HENSE SCHOOL to Professors from the universities fall within the institutional duties carried out for the universities they come from.
The laboratories used by the students for the scheduled training and research activities belong to the universities, research centers and companies Partner of the HENSE SCHOOL.
Master course The courses, due to their interdisciplinary character, are structured in didactic
modules which combine the theoretical aspects with the application of the Urban and Territorial Diagnostics, and teach how to apply innovative protocols for assessing and monitoring environmental and territorial risks. Such an expertise will help the students enter the labour market.
Along the training course the students will be submitted real case-studies selected on the ground of their significance in relation with an innovative way to recognize specific structural and territorial weaknesses and subsequently carry out assessment studies on the urban and territorial seismic susceptibility.
The course is structured in 1500 hours total time: 410 of in-class lectures and 190 of interactive classes, through an e-blended learning environment; 750 of individual study and 150 of traineeship.
Attendance is mandatory and absences for each didactic module can’t exceed 20% of the total teaching time.
The training activities plan, indicating the respective ECTS, is shown on the Annex n. 4 and will be periodically updated on a proposal by the HENSE SCHOOL Quality and Compliance Committee.
